Michiel van der Kley

design by Michiel van der kley Michiel van der Kley [The Hague, 1962], started designing and self-releasing furniture in 1989. After working as a self-producing furniture designer for a number of years, he decided in 1996 to focus exclusively on designing. His designs are now produced by leading manufacturers at home and abroad. In recent years, in addition to furniture, he has focused on the research and the possibilities of 3D printing with as provisional highlights project EGG, an egg-shaped pavilion consisting of almost 5000 unique building elements, and a 3D printed concrete bridge for the municipality of Nijmegen, in collaboration with Rijkswaterstaat and Eindhoven University of Technology.
